Codoxide version 2.0 | New Theme and Updated Engine

by Sameera 18. August 2008 11:49

When this post finally goes live, it'll accompany a new theme and the latest revision of the BlogEngine.net.

Dark Garden Theme

I'm gonna call this theme "Dark Garden". With this, I'm retiring my old "Defiance" theme. I have resued the icon packs that I used for the Defiance theme. Therefore, most of the credits remain with the authors mentioned on that page. New additions are:

In honour of the artists Hug (wish everybody had stamps like this):

Update:

This site could have saved me couple of minutes off my design time.. Oh well  Smile

Great it works! Thanks, however just noticed if someone has a Yahoo! e-mail address and has enabled notification of new comments, he doesn't get an e-mail notification. Any idea why he wouldn't get an e-mail or is it domain specific only. btw are u using a stylesheet for the CommentView as I can see you have used some new classes e.g  xsnazzy. Hope this does not affect the functionality.

Regarding the Yahoo! Mail issue; probably, it's getting flagged as spam :-? Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I must check it out.

The snazzy stuff are for the rounded borders around each of the site's regions. It's an adaptation of the rounded corner implementation found at http://www.cssplay.co.uk/boxes/snazzy.html

cool so I can remove the classes u have used since I won't be using it.

As for the Yahoo! issue I didn't test it here, I tested on another blog that I am working on and didn't get a notification. I also got 2 notification e-mails for the e-mail address that I am currently using for this comment with the same comment that you posted earlier. Must be because I enabled notification for each comment I made. Let me just remove notification in this comment. I'm sure i'll get only 2 this time and not 3 e-mails. Let me also test it on the blog i'm working on and will let you know.

Thanks

ok tested on my blog with notification and works fine for me. I get only 1 notification e-mail. Must be because i'm using XML as the datastore.

You are really helping me out as well my testing the comments system Laughing
BTW, I'm not getting 2 notifications (I'm getting notifications on the first test comment, I posted).  Probably, you have emails redirected to your main account from the address you left under "John Doe". That way, you should be getting 2 notifications.

Appologies for forgetting to remove the snazzy borders before posting the changes. I have "over customized" BE.NET and have trouble remembering which customization is where.
